We were on the Ohio to Erie Trail all day today. The day started in the mid 60s F with a headwind for about the first 15 miles. We were sure glad when the headwind let up. The trail itself is part of the Rail to Trail system, and old rail right of ways have very mild grades, so it was mostly flat. Scott navigated our way through the Columbus metro area, a beautiful city, and around a couple of trail detours. At one of the detours where they are building a new bridge on the trail, we gingerly traversed the creek on stones the construction crew dumped in the creek to allow equipment to move between the embankments.
The high was only 84 F and no rain !
